We are excited to report that the Navajo Nation’s Naabik’i’ya’ti’ Committee unanimously voted to support permanent protection for the Bears Ears cultural landscape on March 12, 2015. Click here to read the Navajo Nation press release.
Several other tribes have expressed support for protecting lands within the Bears Ears area, including the Hopi, Ute Mountain Ute, Hualapai, and 19 Pueblos nations of New Mexico.
